Adventist Review becomes Adventist World

Dear Brothers and Sisters:

I just saw the most recent edition of the "Adventist Review" and lo and behold: it is now the "AdventistWorld".

When James White began the journal it was named "The Advent Review and Sabbath Herald". Its purpose was to proclaim the Sabbath Truth from God's Word and review and reafirm the truth and solidness of believing in the soon Second Coming of Christ.

Some years ago it was re-named the "Adventist Review". Now an Adventist is a person not a belief. The focus was no longer on the certainty of Christ's soon coming or other inconvenient Bible Truths but rather onsome people called "Adventists" and the things they did and believed in would be "reviewed".

Now it's the "Adventist World". I take it the focus will now be on what "Adventists" are doing in their little "World". This "Adventist World" will no doubt get along just fine with the "Baptist World", the "Methodist World", and the "Catholic World". We'll all get along just fine together and once in awhile we'll share and interesting insight.

May God be with you,
