Well Pastor, the time has come to say farewell. My family and I have decided to worship God at home and get away from the corporate SDA religion. I have come to this decision because of the direction my studies have taken us, as you will see later on in this letter. I truly believe Jesus is not in our church or denomination. If I go by the Bible or the Spirit of Prophecy I still come up with the same conclusion.
I believe the Adventist message through the writings of EGW is the correct message God has given His people. The problem I see is, it has been slowly corrupted through the years and not all the truth has been taught. I believe what used to be the church of God has been infiltrated by the enemy even in EGW’s day.
The devil has been painted as ugly and dumb, but that is far from the truth. He was beautiful and full of wisdom when he was created and his goal has always been to corrupt the Word of God by mixing truth with error. He has become an active and honorary member of our denomination. As I study the word I hear God saying “wake up my people, wake up or be destroyed”. I hear the midnight cry; The Bridegroom is coming”. There is a message that goes throughout the Bible I hadn’t seen before, and that’s the message of separation. From Abraham, all the way through to Revelation 18.
I believe that to go to Heaven to meet our saviour we need to be sin free. Personal sin as well as corporate sin. Our own sins are bad enough, but when you add corporate sin to the mix I can’t see how anybody will be saved. The bible says “our righteousness is like filthy rags”. EGW says that when Jesus comes, His robe of righteousness will not cover our filthy rags. We need to clean ourselves of personal sin as well as corporate sin before he comes. I believe the time has come for home ministries and detaching ourselves from corrupt organizations. From what I see in EGW’s writings, is that the SDA organization has been going downhill for a long time, even before Her death. I have enclosed a list of the SDA apostasy’s.
EGW Says in Manuscript 1, February 24, 1915,
I want to tell you. I hate sin. I hate sin. I hate sin. I am charged to tell
our people, that do not realize, that the devil has device after device,
and he carries them out in ways that they do not expect. Satan's agencies
will invent ways to make sinners out of saints.
I tell you now, that when I am laid to rest, great changes will take place....
I want the people to know that I warned them fully before my death.
In the past several months I have been very stressed out thinking about the future of myself and my family. The stress was taking me away from the word of God little be little. A friend brought me back to reality a couple of months ago. In earnest prayer I asked God for help in getting back on track with His will. I found myself going back, studying the church of Laodicea once again. This is a subject I have studied many times before, so I didn’t understand why God lead me to study it again. This time around was very different. I felt a greater power directing me and opening my eyes about things I didn’t see before.
The first thing that came to my mind was that my salvation is not dependent on my family, my friends, or my church. My salvation is only in Christ Jesus and His righteousness. It’s one to one issue.
The first place I went to was to Revelation 3:20. Jesus says; I stand at the door and knock. I read it over and over and over. I believe the Holy Spirit wanted me to see what the relationship was between Jesus knocking at the door and the church of Laodicea. I noticed one thing; when somebody is knocking on a door, that person is normally on the outside and not on the inside and wants to be let in. To me, that was saying Jesus is not in the Laodicean church but outside. According to EGW, we are the church of Laodicea. So the picture I get is that Jesus is on the outside and the church will not let him in because we think he’s already inside. We in our Laodicean state think we have need of nothing.

Advent Review and Sabbath Herald, August 19, 1890 (Vol. 67, #32) "The
Righteousness of Christ"
The state of the Church represented by the foolish virgins, is also spoken
of as the Laodicean state. The True Witness declares, "I know thy works,
that thou art neither cold nor hot: I would that thou wert cold or hot. So
then because thou art lukewarm, and neither cold nor hot, I will spew thee
out of my mouth. Because thou sayest, I am rich, and increased with goods,
and have need of nothing; and knowest not that thou art wretched, and miserable,
and poor, and blind, and naked.
A few sentences later she says;
Satan uses those who claim to believe the truth, but whose light has become darkness, as his mediums to utter his falsehoods and transmit his darkness. They are foolish virgins indeed, choosing darkness rather than light, and dishonoring God.
Laodiceans are the same as Foolish Virgins, so from this I gather we have become mediums to utter the devils falsehood and transmit his darkness.
Friend, I did’nt make this up. This is what EGW said and I believe she was inspired by the Holy Spirit.
So as I studied the foolish virgins (which is the same state as Laodicea according to EGW) I read they didn’t have the necessary oil they needed. One of the meanings for oil in the Word of God is the Holy Spirit. Again, I came to the conclusion that the SDA church was missing something else, it’s missing also the Holy Spirit. The door that closed on the foolish virgins was the door of probation.
After I saw this I decided to go into the web and do a search on Laodicea and the Adventist movement.
I finally found Adventist that preach the Word of God and use the Spirit of Prophecy to broaden Gods Word. I was amazed. They were talking about the same conclusions I had come up with in my recent studies. I have studied this message over and over for the past month and have come to the conclusion I need to separate from the church and the general conference. I need to go out to the wilderness to seek the Lord because to me, that’s where He’s at. He wants us to go out to meet Him just like Abraham did. He wants us to put all out trust in Him and not man.
I always had a problem with Isaiah 4.1. Now I can see how it all ties together. In Isaiah 4.1 seven means completion. All organized denominations including the SDA church are included in this verse. All of them want to eat of their own bread. Bread to me means doctrine. The churches wants to go by their own doctrines, but just want to use the name of Jesus. The next sentence says “ for them that escape Israel” Israel stood for Gods people back then and today the Adventist stand for Gods people and it’s saying that we need to escape (separate) ourselves from the church or suffer the consequences of corporate sin.
In the book of Act 3:19 it says; Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord; And also in Isa 28:12 To whom he said, This is the rest wherewith ye may cause the weary to rest; and this is the refreshing: yet they would not hear.
The “rest” he is talking about can only be found in Jesus. The
refreshing means the latter day
rain. The Adventist are the only ones in history that have been given the latter
day rain. They rejected the
Latter day rain in 1888 - If proclaim third angel's message, then receive Latter
Rain. General Conference
meeting held at Minneapolis. Latter Rain rejected (Selected Messages,
book 1, p 234-235; Testimonies to
Ministers, p 468). Light kept from people (Review and Herald, vol 2,
p 266).
SDA rejected the Latter day rain again in 1901 - General Conference no longer
as voice of God to SDA people (1901 General Conference Bulletin, p25). Latter
Rain rejected again! Leaders told God's Spirit to go away, and that they
would call for Him when they wanted Him (Battle Creek Letters, p 55-56--Letter
123, Aug 5, 1902 [reference back to 1901]).
Isaiah 28:12 goes on to say “they would not hear”. Friend these verse’s can only be speaking of the SDA church.
How many more times is God going to try to get us on track? The Lord did not protect the purity of the church of Israel, or the church of the apostles or of the protestant church’s before 1844. What makes us believe that God is going to change and protect the purity of the SDA church for ever? God has a people in the last days but they are scattered throughout all denominations and He is saying “get out of her my people”. To me, that includes the SDA church we need to get out of.
God made promises to His people throughout history, but they have always been conditional promises. Obey and live, disobey and die. The SDA organization does not have a blank check on God promises. We have been committing apostasy even before EGW died and it has gotten worse throughout the years. The SDA church has become a home for every unclean bird and to me it has already become a harlot. I believe the door of probation will close very soon and God’s people are sleeping. The one and the same door that was closed on the foolish virgins will be closed on us. I want to be on the right side of the door when it closes.
Until now I didn’t appreciate the writings of EGW. Now I can see how indispensable they are. I have always been told that when the shaking comes the lost will leave the church, but I think it’s the other way around, Gods true people will be the ones leaving the church. A close study of the parable “ The wheat and the tares” can shed some light on this subject.
I have come to believe that our denomination and out church are following the steps of ancient Israel. We are fulfilling the words of Ezekiel 8:14 and 8:16. EGW says Ezekiel’s words apply more to the end time’s than they did for his time.
God says in 1Corinthians 10:11 Now all these things happened unto them for
examples: and they are
written for our admonition, upon whom the ends of the world are come.
All I know is that we all need to be like the Bereans and search the scriptures on our own and quit depending on the pastors and teachers of our faith to give us milk. We all need to be weaned from the milk. Isa 28:9 Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from The “milk”, and drawn from the breasts. In other words we need to grow up and learn the scriptures straight from God, not man. When we start our Christian walk it’s ok to get the milk (word) from man but we need to grow up and wean ourselves from man and go to God.
We Adventist have been given more light than any other people in history and will be held accountable for the abundant grace given. We have squandered and watered down Gods truth just like Israel of old.
I believe the abomination of desolation Jesus talks about in Mat 24:15 has
taken place already in our time and we need to heed the warning.
“
Mat 24:15 When ye therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken
of by Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let him
understand:)
Mat 24:16 Then let them which be in Judea flee into the mountains:
Mat 24:17 Let him which is on the housetop not come down to take any thing
out of his house:
Mat 24:18 Neither let him which is in the field return back to take his clothes.
Mat 24:19 And woe unto them that are with child, and to them that give suck
in those days!
Mat 24:20 But pray ye that your flight be not in the winter, neither on the
sabbath day:”
Friend, He is talking about separation. We all need to fight the internal
struggle which is a battle with
Laodiceanism.
Anyway, I could go on and on, but I am not trying to teach you the word, but to give you the reasons for my actions. I’m tired of playing church and it’s time for me to walk the talk. I want to be more than just a hearer of the Word, but a doer of the Word.
Isa 28:8 For all tables are full of vomit and filthiness, so that there is no place clean. I believe He is talking about all churches and denominations in this verse. We are making God vomit because of the pride and selfrighteousness he sees in our worship and in our lives.
My family and I have been studying this for over a month and have come to a unanimous decision to separate and go on our own way. I am requesting the names of Jose Collazo, Becky Collazo, John Collazo, Tara Collazo, Andrew Collazo and Emma Collazo be removed from the church books immediately. We want to remove our membership at this time.
Friend, the Lord is coming and we are not even close to being ready. All is not ok in Christian dome. I hear what Eliyah said on mount Carmel; If Baal be God follow him, but if the Lord be God, follow Him. People aren’t taking Gods word serious enough. I want to follow the Lord and be sensitive to his call.
The Jews didn’t realize what it takes to be a real Israelite and we
Adventist apparently don’t either.
Mat 3:9 And think not to say within yourselves, We have Abraham to our father:
for I say unto you, that God is able of these stones to raise up children unto
Abraham. I believe Jesus is telling us the same thing.
God say; Obey and live, disobey and die. He also says the wages of sin (Personal or Corporate) is death. Some how we have been neglecting what God said and going by what the devil said in Genesis; You will surely not die.
Sin will not enter heaven and the Lords robe of righteousness will not wipe out our transgressions. He will not violate our will and it is our responsibility to get rid of sin. Each and every time we sin, we crucify Christ afresh. We need to be dragged to the cross to see what sin does. It crucified our saviour. It kills.
I believe Laodicea is part of Babylon and I believe the church of Philadelphia is Gods remnant people in the last days. The ones that are in the church of Philadelphia are the ones that have come out of all the churches in Christian dome including corporate Adventism.
I will continue to pray for you and the members of the church, that they will search the scriptures for the truth as it is in Christ Jesus. I pray that they too will find the message to follow Jesus and not the church or men.
I can acknowledge that my life has not always been on the straight and narrow, I can at least deal with that issue on a one-on-one basis with God and/or my fellowman. This would be the appropriate time to say that I hold no animosity towards anyone in Atlanta North and I pray that no one feels the same towards me. If so, I beg for their forgiveness.
To God be the Glory,
God Bless
Jose Collazo
PS: I was told by a member of our church, the teachings of separation are from the Shepards Rod. I think their defensive mechanism is kicking in and they are trying to lash out at anything that rocks their boat.
This is far from the truth. The people that say these things don’t know what they’re talking about. I did a little studying on this group and found that the leaders from the Shepards Rod tell their members the opposite. They tell them to stay in the church because when the shaking comes they think they will be in position to take over the SDA churches, hospitals and universities. They want them to stay in the church no matter what happens. They think they will inherit the denomination and properties. I would not be surprised if all SDA churches have Shepards Rod members in their mist waiting for the opportunity to take over.
In this Testimony to the church, EGW calls the church a Harlot. Harlot is the
same as Babylon.

Chapter Title: Be on Guard
In the balances of the sanctuary the Seventh-day Adventist church is
to be weighed. She will be judged by the privileges and advantages that she
has had.
If her spiritual experience does not correspond to the advantages that Christ,
at infinite cost, has bestowed on her, if the blessings conferred have not
qualified her to do the work entrusted to her, on her will be pronounced the
sentence: "Found wanting." By the light bestowed, the opportunities
given, will she be judged.
God has in store love, joy, peace, and glorious triumph for all who serve
Him in spirit and in truth. His commandment-keeping people are to stand constantly
in readiness for service. They are to receive increased grace and power, and
increased knowledge of the Holy Spirit's working. But many are not ready to
receive the precious gifts of the Spirit which
[248] God is waiting to bestow on them. They are not reaching higher and still higher
for power from above that through the gifts bestowed, they may be recognized
as God's peculiar people, zealous of good works.
Solemn admonitions of warning, manifest in the destruction of dearly
cherished facilities for service, say to us: "Remember therefore from whence
thou art fallen, and repent, and do the first works." Revelation 2:5. Why
is there so dim a perception of the true spiritual condition of the church?
Has
not blindness fallen upon the watchmen standing on the walls of Zion? Are not
many of God's servants unconcerned and well satisfied, as if the pillar of
cloud by day and the pillar of fire by night rested upon the sanctuary? Are
there not those in positions of responsibility, professing to know God, who
in life and character deny Him? Are not many of those who count themselves
as His chosen, peculiar people satisfied to live without the evidence that
of a truth God is
Would we not now have much greater light if, in the past, we had received the
Lord's admonitions, acknowledged His presence, and turned away from all practices
contrary to His will? Had we done this, the light of heaven would have shone
into the soul-temple, enabling us to comprehend the truth and to love God supremely
and our neighbors as ourselves. Oh, how greatly Christ is dishonored by those
who, professing to be Christians, disgrace the name they bear by failing to
make their lives correspond to their profession, by failing to treat one another
with the love and respect that God expects them to reveal in kind words and
courteous acts!
[249]
The powers from beneath are stirred with deep intensity. War and bloodshed
are the result. The moral atmosphere is poisoned with cruel, horrible doings.
The spirit of strife is spreading; it abounds in every place. Many souls are
being taken possession of by the spirit of fraud, or underhand dealing. Many
will depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits and doctrines of
devils. They do not discern what spirit has taken possession of them.
One who sees beneath the surface, who reads the hearts of all men, says
of those who have had great light: "They are not afflicted and astonished
because of their moral and spiritual condition." Yea, they have chosen
their own ways, and their soul delighteth in their abominations. I also will
choose their delusions, and will bring their fears upon them; because when
I called, none did answer; when I spake, they did not hear: but they did evil
before Mine eyes, and chose that in which I delighted not." "God
shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie," because
they received not the love of the truth, that they might be saved," "but
had pleasure in unrighteousness." Isaiah 66:3, 4; 2 Thessalonians 2:11,
10, 12.
The heavenly Teacher inquired: "What stronger delusion can beguile
the mind than the pretense that you are building on the right foundation and
that
God accepts your works, when in reality you are working out many things according
to worldly policy and are sinning against Jehovah? Oh, it is a great deception,
a fascinating delusion, that takes possession of minds when men who have once
known the truth, mistake the form of godliness for the spirit and power thereof;
when
[250]
they suppose that they are rich and increased with goods and in need of nothing,
while in reality they are in need of everything."
God has not changed toward His faithful servants who are keeping their
garments spotless. But many are crying, "Peace and safety," while
sudden destruction is coming upon them. Unless there is thorough repentance,
unless men humble
their hearts by confession and receive the truth as it is in Jesus, they will
never enter heaven. When purification shall take place in our ranks, we shall
no longer rest at ease, boasting of being rich and increased with goods, in
need of nothing.
Who can truthfully say: "Our gold is tried in the fire; our garments
are unspotted by the world"? I saw our Instructor pointing to the garments
of so-called righteousness. Stripping them off, He laid bare the defilement
beneath. Then He said to me: "Can you not see how they have pretentiously
covered up their defilement and rottenness of character? 'How is the faithful
city become an harlot!' My Father's house is made a house of merchandise, a
place whence the divine presence and glory have departed! For this cause there
is weakness, and strength is lacking."
The faithful city He is talking about is plainly the SDA church.
