Another Brother Discovers the Truth!

Hi Brother,

I hope you'll get to read my email. I am writing you from Portugal!

My wife and I, plus another couple, left the SDA church because we came to the conclusion that what is taught there is not the Word of God, but the word of Ellen White and the word of the leaders of the church and its traditions, which is not Biblical.

We recently found out about Christ’s resurrection on Saturday too. We also found out about tithing.

For now you are the only one we found which believes these two subjets. What else do you differ from SDA? The basics, I want to know how different/similar we are.

What a lift your message gave to me today! I do not believe I have ever received a message such as yours!

Did you come to these conclusions from your personal obervations and convictions? Or, where you influenced by what you found on this website?
I only ask this because it has beem discouraging to me to appear to be among so few that see and understand this. SDAs are a very difficult group of people to communicate with because they sincerely believe that only THEY have the Truth! How can anyone compete with that mentality or way of thinking?!!

SDA pastors are another story, many of them do not pay too much attention to Ellen White and you can tell this by attending their churches...yet on the other hand, declaring her to be a false prophet not a credible individual can be deathblow econimically.

Following Christ all the way presents certain problems, especially for those that know that TRUTH and are NOT willing to follow it because it could hurt them or their families.

The very first indication that I had about the fallacy of EGW, was when I compared the Gospel accounts of Passion Week with the 'Desire of Ages'. The differences were so remarjable that I said something has to be very wrong here!

That is what led me to put the REAL story on the site, with experts who knew what they were writing about. The experts that I speak about were experts in only one area, they seriously stidied the Word of God and God enlightened them t write what they have.

I am also gratified that you clearly saw through the deception that the SDA Church has created in it's enforcement of Tithing for only THEIR benefit. Is it odd that Christ had Peter find that coin in the fish's mouth to pay a TAX rather than to pay a tithe?! And of course there is no Biblical evidence in the entire Bible that
tithes were ONLY to be paid with FOOD or produce that only God could create?

Here is another area where I have found there to be great error:

Well Brother,

You are certainly making heaven proud by putting Christ first and sharing TRUTH rather than error, most SDA preachers continue to do. That is why I have that sentence at the end of my e-mails, for those that prefer to believe a LIE!

The reason why you could not read my message was and is because I am a blind man and I have to use a High Contrast for my display settings. I will change the color so that you can at least see something in the message. All that you need to do, is to click inside the message box and then hit the Control–A keys pr run your mouse over the page while holding down the Left mouse button, to check if there is anything on the page.

I left the SDA Church for GOOD almost 4 tears ago. I can only look back with regrets over the lost time that I spent being deceived!

Back a few years ago, the A4T.org site contained much of EGW’’s writings, I was of the Historic SDA faith which tends to put her writings almost equal with the Holy Bible...everything she wrote being inspired...crazy thinking, huh? So, like yourself while greatly disappointed, I could only blame my family’’s ignorance. My father had been an SDA minister until his death, and to this day, the entire family continues to plug their ears to the Truth from above.

SDAs especially, discard Christ’’s words on the one hand while adhering to others in the same verse! They pick and choose what they wish to believe! A prime example would be Matt. 24:24. The first part of this verse He speaks of not being deceived by false prophets, while in the second part He confirms that ONLY those that pass the first test of NOT being DECEIVED will be the ELECT! On the other hand SDAs turn this verse around and confer themselves to be the Elect, while overlooking His prior warning words!!!

The first Bible text to reassure yourselves that you are on the correct path is Deut. 18:22. Never forget this, when dealing with SDAs. NEVER in her life did a prediction that she made EVER came to pass! Maybe you have seen this article already, but these predictions come from her own writings...

I sincerely doubt that your pastor is a smart man who listens to anyone but himself, but here is something that may give you ammunition. What did Ron Graybill, the Secretary to the EGW Estate, tell a group at the GC’’s morning worship service?

What Mr. Graybill is telling them here is that it is true that the reports of EGW’’s plagiarisms are correct. In fact it has been found that over 80% of her published writings were copied from other writers of her day. Another fact that cannot be denied is that ALL of her Conflict of the Ages series (those famous 5 books) were all copied. There isn’’t once of inspired thought in any of those books!.

Here are a few simple Bible facts that can be used to compare: Gen. 3:6; The story of the City of Zoar not being destroyed as she wrote in Patriarchs & Prophets, 55,167 when compared against established Biblical history, Gen. 19:21,22; Deut. 34:3; Isa. 15:5; Jer. 48:34. Did you notice that Zoar is still in existence during the time of Isaiah & Jeremiah?!

These are just a few of the Bible texts to show any Adventist that defends EGW’’s inspiration. There ate many, many more. For the SDA it comes down to WHO do they put their Trust in the Word of God or the words of a false prophet. If in Ellen, can or will she provide them with salvation? SDAs are by tradition VERY legalistic. That follow the writings in the strictest manner while overlooking the implications of the laws, many of the teachings in the Bible were suggestions for a better lifestyle, not mandatory. Which is why SDAs are so similar to the Jewish Pharisees.

To continue my story, soon after I left the Church, I went to Ireland to meet a Mother Superior who I had gotten to know by e-mail, she had come to understand the Truth about the Sabbath, though she has never been encouraged to join another false church... She left the convent, soon after this and came to the US where we married in 2006. To this day, I can honestly say that I have not found an SDA that compares to her in ANY way. Especially by the Golden Rule. I can only admit that her 30 years in a convent did her no harm in being a Daughter of God. Many things that others did or that the Church did she would not do. The most difficult thing for her was to understand the truth about the sacrament or the mass, as would be expected from a good R. Catholic.

Another area that you might want to research is about the Investigative Judgement. How God undertakes this Judgement is unknown to any mortal, but to believe that it began in 1844 is ludicrous! Don’’t forget to read that article about Daniel 9 by Jerry Brown about God’’s Time Table.

I just now have received another e-mail from an individual that doesn’’t give his name, but accuses ne of everything under the sun for my position against Adventist! I will send this to you...maybe you should respond to him! I try to limit anymore dealing with people that maintain a perpetually CLOSED MIND.

I believe you believe in Christ.

I am calling brother as the son of God we are.

I am deeply sad to see people who thinks that their opinions is the truth. I was an adventist for 7 years. I read lots of ellen white stuff, and whenever I found something weird, I'd say: she is a prophet so one day we will understand this. But unfortunately I came to learn the explanation for those issues. The answer is because it was copied form other sources which in many cases their goal was not to progress the cause of Christ.

I found copies from fables to history books. when I asked my pastor he whoud say: what's the problem of copying from a fable book?. Are you kidding me? didn't he read the bible? doesn't he know that the bible is against fables?

I left the church and now I live with some friends who really wants to serve God, not having a particular group of people who wants to stay together, closed like a political party. we are supposed to be the son of God. be lovely to everyone even if they don't partake the same thaught. When we started asking about ellen white, people started to turn their back on us. isnted of trying to show us the truth, they would close for us because we were being guided by satan. so satan wins and they don't even fight?

here is a little of my story.
The first thing I found wrong in the church was about Ellen white. I didn't find anything wrong by myself, because I trusted her, so anything new I read in her books, I trusted God can always take control. but I was wrong.

One day I was searching some videos on YouTube when I found some videos saying Ellen White was a liar, I was very mad, trying to see if I could find evidence that the people who made the video was wrong, but for my sadness it was all true. I couldn't find answers for what was becoming reality for me. So I tried to talk to pastors and people who read a lot of her books, as i read some main books but was not an avid reader. I was very disappointed with the answers from the church leaders. they were treating me like a lost soul, like if I was possessed and so were in doubt, and they say doubt comes from the devil. Once I told my pastor: " Pastor I found out that the story Ellen white tells about the deluge is the same that is written in a fable book written by a not so Christian novel writer", he replied: " what is wrong with that?", Then I said : " Pastor she is writing stories from a novel, as it was history fact and a vision from God?", he repeated: what is the problem?". Then I said: it's ok!.

No matter what I would show him, he would still answer as if I was just saying rubbish.

Then I started reading and studying again the doctrines without the ellen white view. First I read an article about tithing, then I searched by myself on the bible, and there is no evidence in the bible that tithing is for Christians.

Recently, I found about the death and resurrection timeline. I still don't eat from unclean meat and have still many views which are similar, but I can not be part of the SDA Church because I found out how they persecute people who leaves the main body of the church. I also found how the church owns insurance companies, pork selling companies, and how they purchase stocks and how they lost 8 million USD, in the stock market in 2008. They say to members: don't bet on the lotos, or any luck games but they buy stocks with tithe money?

Now we study together the 4 of us and a couple with no denomination but who wants to live according to bible teaching, every saturday we meet. like you say in your sgnature, one guy in my church who is writing is PhD thesis in chemistry, when I try to show him how wrong the church is, he says he is affraid to look on these matters because he could get wrong, and lose is salvation. he is affraid of finding new truth.
