A Balanced Look at LOVE
I was re-reading all the '08 and '09, and some '07 and before a4t.org letters.
I see so much positive growth in us that it nearly brings tears to my eyes.I
personally have much farther to travel.
I am trying, seeking, asking to have balance.I was unbalanced for so long as
an SDA that it is a task that takes true seeking of
needed truth. We have helped each other in this trek.
Things as alcohol; it is used in the Bible for medicinal purposes, for those
having it ruff (despondent) it is allowed, BUT the over indulgence and foolishness
of drunkenness is not in line with following God's way. Again that is balance
in the principles of Christianity, It can be food; it can be many things.

Where the balance is more than a principal, but is straight from God, and adhered
to perfectly by His Son are the 10 Commandments. Here is how I see it now (and
it is MUCH different than how I saw it for many years)
Having only one God not three and knowing that God is the one and only God, and
His only begotten Son(not created) has all His attributes, and THEIR power is
Their Holy Spirit. is balanced - Having One God is not ONLY for the ones that
came out of Egyptian bondage, but for all and any Christian is important, very
important. There has always only been ONE Supreme Father God at anytime.
Images; that is a danger; it is unbalanced, but practiced heavily by many that
worship apparitions statues, etc, This commandment IS BALANCED.
Not taking The God of eternity and His begotten Son's name in vain is very balanced
for any that claim any degree of belief.
Remembering the Sabbath was well before and after the exodus. It was sanctified.
God knew that when Adam and Eve would commence toiling, what other reference
point was there. It is also well documented of Sun worship to be of paganism,
then man, then on and on, and Rome, and held on by the reformation. It takes
alot of justifying and work and effort to start believing that it is no different
than any of the other 6 days of the week, and exempt from the other 9 commandments
(once really understood). That is Balance.I have said before and believe now
more than ever that when treating it as it was meant, instead of how it has been
messed with, no matter if by Rome or the SDA and others, then one, as has happened
to me, will look forward to the 7th Day as a special day of prayer, worship,
and such.
Honoring your father and mother is extremely balanced, but because of balance
and a God not harsh and such, as the enemy has made Him out to be, knows well
that there is a balance- some have to stay away and can not honor them for reasons
that are reasonable-that is commandment balancing without removing it.
It isn't and shouldn't be difficult for any to understand that murder is absolutely
wrong, but many KJV only people will only promote, Thou shall not Kill - There
is no balance with that arbitrary way of belief. There is a time for some to
have to kill, but that is far from murder- Again balance.
Adultery is absolutely wrong, no less, no more than as the commandment says;
but what many take it to, even in this day in age is that all, even the absolute
innocent person is guilty when marrying or re-marriage- that is an unbalanced
Pharisaical, legalistic way. There is a balance.
You should not steal - That is clear.
The false witness against your neighbor needs to be adhered to, but again,
there is a balance - example: Corey Tenboom hiding Jews when asked by the Nazi's...and
even some Bible characters. That is balance.
Coveting will lead to numerous troubles. That isn't hard to understand.
Bob, I see no complications; I see where none are changeable; I see where 1/10
as the Sabbath with many SDA's (reform, historics and other Sabbatarian groups)
is made the most important. I also see where most of Christendom sees that 9/10ths,
not all are in effect.
Man, again, both are UNBALANCED.Loving God and one's fellow man is clear thru
out the ten.
Of what I have learned the most is LOVE and Balance, not love in small print
but LOVE in big print, and Balance of the 10 Commandments and certain principles)
in BIG print, NOT SMALL print. I am against picking and choosing. Balance in
a loving way is how they should be recognized.
Bob, 1 Corinthians 7:19
is saying what I mean in how I believe NOW regarding God's Ten Commandment
Law vs. things that are right and good for our health,
BUT NOT a salvational issue. These commandments at the end of 1Cor. 7:19 are
clearly talking of the royal law, nothing else - it can't be mistaken.
This is just
one example. In SDAism, unclean meats, as in the Old Testament is an abomination,
but under the new covenant (which the COG7 teaches and preaches- two word SDA'ism
doesn't care for) it, as tithing is not a salvational requirement, but is a
good principal. Elsewhere, when it says days esteemed, it are not talking of
THE 7th day Sabbath, for it is a commandment of the 10, but again to be observed
as it was meant to be (big difference.)
That is what I was trying to say regarding your question about why the COG7 or even the SDB.
Personally, I just cannot go and assemble where the teaching and preaching,
of even something reasonable and historical, and clear is distorted blatantly,
ie., the false establishment by man of a first day Sabbath, burning for a zillion
years or even days or weeks (as EGW taught) and much, much, more as first
day churches teach (that I have experience with; maybe there is one out there
that is not of the type I am talking of) More disturbing is when something
is absolutely clear as the plagiarising, false trinity, crucif/resurr., etc,
by EGW, or anything that is really known and can be understood, and yet is
rejected
(as the Sabbath) is being wrongfully preached and taught.
To raise one's kid in such and to just sit and blindly accept ( as I, you,and many had done for a length of time) is a 'never again' in my life.
Innocent of true knowledge is one thing, because that person will be a seeker and when truth is clear and understood, it will be accepted, but when one rejects absolute truth, that is another. As I have said to you many times - a number of the 50,000,000 martyrs never knew of the true Sabbath, and many other things, but what they did know (as the falseness of not being able to have a bible, the papacy, penitence, etc. still had the true SEAL of God, (LOVE)
