Hello, Dwayne Turner,

My name is Johnny C. I am as proud of our webmaster, to stand up to any firey darts you have to cast our way. As Bob has so plainly stated, it is high time we awake out of our stupor. Have Adventists grown comfortably numb in their belief?

What is Truth?

Is Ellen's "truth" any different from that of any other prophet of any other popular church of the day? I'm fairly certain all of Islam is as reliant upon the writings of their prophet as the Adventist church is upon theirs. Is satan pitting Christianity against Islam today? Is SDA'ism not a part of "Christianity"? God's people are called to come out of Babylon and "be ye seperate". Seperate from what? Religion! Christianity included! God has "a" people! Christianity, as we know it, is nothing more than another movement to deceive the masses. After so many centuries of bloodshed all in the name of the Lord, seems we'd have gotten the message before linking ourselves to it. Alas! Not only have Adventists linked themselves to Christianity and tried countless times to prove themselves as "Christian" as the next denomination, they have compromised their belief that Jesus is the Son of God by laying claim to the holy Catholic worldwide doctrine that Jesus is God! Chalk another one up for satan!

I'm not making the claim Ellen did not have some Truth. That is how satan works, Man. He mingles a little Truth in with a whole lot of lies. Thus deception follows. How did we, as Adventists, ever miss the FACT Jesus is not God, when all He did throughout His ministry was proclaim His Father? What does "Testimony of Jesus" mean to you? Think about Abraham and Isaac. That was father and son. How can we begin to understand the Plan of Salvation and not understand the difference? There is no trinity of gods. Nor is there one god in three beings. There is ONLY ONE GOD, and our God has a Son! Abraham represented God and Isaac, His Son. It was through Abraham's seed that God spared His people. It was not through Abraham that God "created" religion. Was Abraham a Jew? Was Enoch a Jew? Did God have a religion before the flood or did He have "a people"? In the story of Abraham and Isaac, do we have a third representative for the holy Spirit as a seperate god being? I see only two represented here. Was a third being speaking at the baptism of Christ, or was that God speaking?

Are Baptists anymore "saved" today than Adventists? Seems they "think" they are.

We have a world of trouble coming. Are we ready? Are we SURE we are ready to see our Jesus? God is not returning as King of kings and Lord of lords. Jesus is! Has any man seen God? Jesus is returning for God's people. God's people that He, Jesus, gave His life to redeem. In that day He is, by the power of His Father, going to call the dead in Him from the grave to come forth and be at home forever with their God and His God.

How many Adventists, pastor Turner, do you know today (yourself possibly included), who fully expect to be among the living (144,000) in that day? How many times have I heard Adventists say; "well, He died so we wouldn't have to do so"? Are we still hung up on the words; "Ye shall not surely die"? And what was the very next lie? Are we, today, subliminally operating on the second lie that we will be as gods, knowing good and evil? Do you detect the plural in "gods" there?

What I read in Scripture is; "The wages of sin is death". I am a sinner and I fully expect to pass through the grave before I see Jesus. I also understand there will be living upon Earth in that day, 144,000, who, like Enoch and Elijah, will have passed through the great time of trouble without seeing death. I am no Enoch or Elijah. I will either give my life for His cause or, I will compromise my belief in Him if I am alive in the time of the end. Can we afford to compromise today?

This dragon with whom we are dealing is no more a snake today than he was the day our first parents fell from perfection. He knew exactly what he was doing that day and he knows exactly what he is doing today. I'm fairly certain, Pastor Turner, the Mormans, Christian Scientists, Catholics, and Muslims place as much faith in their "prophets" as do Adventists in theirs. When you stop to think of it, that is a huge amount of faith in people. Where is their faith in God? Where are the people searching Scripture whether these things are so? I see a multitude of followers. Lambs being led to the slaugther.

If it makes you feel any better, I am as strong an advocate for the holy, 7th day Sabbath of our Lord as you will ever run across. "If you love Me, keep My commandments". That was the testimony of Jesus. It was ALL about His Father. His God and my God. "Other sheep have I". "Come out of her, My people".

Hi Johnny,

That was a very kind and gentle rebuke to this poor misguided Pastor, who by it's definition is meant to represent Christ, as the earthly shepherd to Christ's flock. That is an awesome and yes, dreadful position to be in!

The real sad thing is that there are SO many like him, who would rather believe a lie than than to search the Scriptures for themselves. I frankly cannot comprehend the attitude that they take...they are literally ‘educated fools’ and the first word has to be used cautiously. I have yet to put up the exchanges from a man in Portugal who found these Truths on his own. He now holds Church in his home with two other couples! Now that is a real follower of Christ who gave to all His wishes to Teach and baptize all men in HIS name alone!

I suppose that as you surmised, as long as Satan is around, there will be deception and exceeding deception at that!

I can only see him chortling to his angels how EASY it was to deceive entirely an entire church organization who supposedly strives to be God’s Chosen People upon Earth. All be allowing a girl to believe she was having visions when all she was having was maybe a bad headache from her injury and was in a state of mind that caused her to hallucinate in a very convincing way. Satan does nothing in half measures, that’s for certain!

All it took for us and many other people like us was to trust the Scriptures FIRST rather than a mere human. People are so desparate to compare Ellen White with Prophets from Bible times. The big DIFFERENCE is that THEY WERE INSPIRED! She lived in an era where false prophets were coming out of the woodwork! Christ gave us all very stern words in Matt. 24:24 as well as many other places in the Bible.
Say It Ain't So

That is why D.M. Canright is so castigated by the Church. He worked side by side with the White’s and it took him over 25 tears to start seeing a pattern that proved to him that she was NOT an inspired individual. Fid cannot lie. So, when you try explain away her faults or her failed visions, the individual is calling God a LIAR! This happened repeatedly during Christ’s time on Earth. Again, who were His main accusers? The leaders of the Church in His days upon this Earth. So, to me, it is not strange to receive opposition to what this website has to say, they are protecting their own interests! They say that it is nice to bite the hand that feeds you.... Have you read that article that I put in the message to the pastor called: Bashing the Critics? It is surprising the number of prominent Adventists that HAVE seen the Truth. It is not my concern when and how they came to this conclusion, I am sure that they still battle over the thoughts of all the unknown hundreds if not thousands, that they influenced wrongly!

We can only pray for them that they will take their eyes off of man and fix their gaze squarely upon Jesus.

I'll be looking for his "extensive" reply. Yes, I did read "Bashing the Critics". Sort of puts "the great disappointment" in a different light, doesn't it? I found it interesting that it was that 1960-1964 period that my folks joined the church. I, myself, was baptized in 1964.

I am aquainted with a man, Bob, who sincerely believes he is referenced personally in Rev. 11:3, and 12:5. How is he different from Adventists who believe they are in Rev. 10:10? They would be quick to tell him he is crazy, I'm sure, without seeing the log in their own eye.

It's really very sad that, whenever anything happens in the world today, so many Adventists turn to Ellen before they do the Bible. If my experience in the church is any indication, once we got our indoctrination, the rest was all Ellen and the Review & Herald. It's just another religion, Bob. Fortunately, or unfortunately that's the way the world perceives Advent'ism' today. jc
