Subject: WATER IS THE SAVIOUR?

IS IT TRUE THAT YOU BELIEVE THAT JESUS BLOOD IS NOT ENOUGH TO SAVE YOU AND THAT IF YOU ARE NOT BAPTISED YOU WILL GO TO HELL???

Here is what Matthew 28:19, 20 says:

Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:
28.20
Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. Amen.

There are other texts that may be better, but this one came to mind immediately.

Here's how it works, and Trust me on this...must ministers have it wrong when they tell you that we are saved by Grace alone...or water for that matter!

Christ came as a substitute for us. We deserve to die for our sins, but Christ being Devine, and having proven that it IS possible to live on this earth, to be tempted by the devil himself and yet not sin, was qualified to bear our sins for us.

Now, just because He did that for you and me, does not entitle us to heaven. We essentially have our passport, but to get our passage we have to also do something. He asks us to quit sinning, not just one or two of the commandments but ALL ten of them...and that includes Numero 4!! Christ also asks that we acknowledge our acceptance of His sacrifice by a public display of humility...baptism. That's HIS request not mine.

His blood does cover me completely, but I have to do my part or He will not consider ME worthy of the blood He shed for me. Does this make sense? Ask your average preacher and he will say I'm crazy...but we'll see who's right when it's all said and done, and no one, but no one can change their status...and hell fire wipes away all traces of sin so that Christ can recreate this earth as it was originally created...free of sin and misery.

Study your Bible, Roger, it's all in there. You don't need a preacher to decipher it for you.
