I see that Adventists 4 Truth has become a site to denounce and attempt to
debunk all that is Adventist. I really don't know what the story is behind
the 180 degree turn in this website is, but I will just say that when a person
dedicates his time and life to renouncing Adventism, it is generally because
he is trying to outrun his conscious concerning the truth.
My brother, D. M. Canright devoted his life and time denouncing Adventism and Ellen White. At her funeral, he was said to have affirmed her place as the Lord's servant, while standing by her casket.
My advice to you is (though
unsolicited) don't waste you time and energy denouncing something you probably,
deep down inside,
believe is true. In the end, the truth we espouse comes from God's Word,
and
is reaffirmed in God's writings to His church. My brother, you'll never
outrun your conscience. Once you have been exposed to the truth, enough to
have
been under conviction of it, it will never leave you. My advice (again
unsolicited) is, don't leave the truth.

My Dear Pastor T.,
I am sincerely glad that you wrote and as it has taken me quite some time to write this response, I can only hope that you will at least read it.
I seriously doubt that I could convince you of what is Truth, since that is what YOU really and sincerely believe that you stand for. I will provide you with a link that has the names of some prominent Adventists who once thought just as you do, today. I say today, because there is always a chance, even if just a small or tiny chance that your eyes will be opened at some point before it is too late! You feel secure in your church system because you can point to hundreds of thousands other pastors around the world that share your beliefs.
But, when Christ said what He did in Matt. 24:24l was He looking down in history to the time the SDAs would appear on the scene? Not according to your set of beliefs because when a person BELIEVES he is amongst the ELECT, who can dissuade him? Are we foolish enough to believe that Christ may have erred when He said this? Or is it possible that Satan has known this all along and could not have found a better group of people to deceive beyond even their own beliefs?
You wrote several things in your message that made me wonder if you had even read to yourself the words and wondered if it could be you that this message was intended for? I say this Pastor, because once, not all that long ago, I was sitting just as confident as you are today. Yet was I ever WRONG! And was that a surprise to ME! What you have going against you is that your Church has a seminary where many brilliant scholars preside, or is it reside? Because the Church has a flawed premise to begin with AND because this flawed premise has been brought up a multiple of times and has always ‘died in committee’ it cannot be discussed. Tell me Pastor, have YOU ever read the manuscript of the 1919 Bible Conference?

Allow me to provide you with a little background. Having been raised an SDA by God fearing parents, my father, being a minister, as yourself; I, and my siblings were taught in Adventist schools and colleges all of my lives and having worked for a Conference and a Union during my youth, I would have guessed that it would have been hard for me to stray too far from this flock. You may scoff at what I am about to say, but, GOD had other plans for me! You may not believe this but the Bible does NOT agree with what you are calling the SOP!!! and I can show you this, but only if you allow yourself to not fight the immediate impulse that will come to you to try and sustain your beliefs. I will give you some examples and I will also provide you with this challenge: If YOU can prove me wrong, FROM SCRIPTURE ALONE in any of my numbered comments or examples (similar to offers you have probably made to people about proving Sunday to be the true Sabbath of the Lord).and you might as well count as #7, what I said towards the end of this message about Christ’s Passion Week, I will publicly concede that I have been WRONG on this same website. The true question may be if you are so confident of what you believe to do the same before your congregation?! Mind you, this offer will also be posted along with your initials, rather than your name, (just initials) unless you give me permission to provide your name. Letters written to this site may and can be used publicly. We shall see who’s conscience will be stricken most now or in God’s day of wrath, yours or mine.
Adventists have as many rules or perhaps maybe more than the Pharisees dud during Christ day. And as He cursed their rules, He curses yours and your flock's. You have a religion that earns heaven by it's WORKS! From diet to dress to how the Sabbath is not to be kept.
I do not speak for God, I only know that what He stands for is NOT the same as what you stand for; you believe to be truth is not the TRUTH as given in Scripture! I hope that I am not making it too harsh for you to take up? I am writing this because you specifically wrote:

I will try to provide links to each point so that folks that read this that are not sure of their faith can test them against what the Bible says.
1. Who does the Bible say was with Eve during her temptation in the Garden of Eden? Specifically referring to Gen. 3:6 as compared with what is printed in Patriarchs and Prophets, I’ll let you find the page or pages, (I no longer have those books) because it is one of the SDA’s core teachings that ANYONE from kindergarten age onwards can easily recite?
2. How many of Ellen White’s predictions came TRUE during her lifetime? I ask this because Deut. 18:22 says all to clearly that if ANY of a prophet’s predictions fail or do not come to pass, we are to turn our backs to him/her. The second part that must be mentioned, for the benefit of those who may read this exchange, is how many chances does a prophet get in being wrong? Can we trust a arrowhead to be correct about future events if their current predictions are in error?
3. Ellen White writes in Patriarchs & Prophets page 55 and again on page 167 that the City of Zoar was consumed by fire; The Bible simply says that the City of Zoar would be overthrown! Was she speaking for God, or trying her best to put the fear of God into all who would listen or read her material? If her prediction was correct, why does this city’s name appear in Scripture several times after the time of Abraham and Lot? Even Isaiah wrote about Zoar being in existence during Isaiah’s TIME!
4. Is the 1844 message a reliable message from God or as found in the Bible? Is the Church’s timing even in accordance with historical Biblical facts?
5. Can the timing in Daniel 8:14 be supported historically, if you cannot provide an answer for the previous verses, Daniel 8:10-13?
6. This may be heresy to be mentioned here, but since I am being considered a heretic by your comments, it deserves being mentioned. Does the BIBLE (read that as GOD) support tithing in ANY way as the SDAs teach? I will say it in this way to clarify it for you. Does the Bible TEACH anywhere that Tithes are to be paid in money (of any kind). And please, Pastor, do not give me any of the usual pastor’s hocus pocus malarkey about supporting the ministry of Christ, when pastors have enriched themselves by this very means. This will not make sense to anyone until they read and gear the audio message I’ve provided at the end of the message.
Lets not even bring into the count what is TRUTH about God and His only Begotten Son as compared to what your Church teaches concerning the DOCTRINE of the Trinity!!!! (emphasis plus!)
I think I will stop there. Sometimes, I forget that I am a blind man, and tend to push myself beyond my eye’s capabilities.
Pastor, I have provided you with half a dozen choices for you to try to defend your faith with. I didn’t want to stop, but I want to be fair and not overwhelm you with the Truth, too quickly! But this point is so very important, because it is by this story that we are assured of Christ’s ability to Save all who believe in HIM.
I am going to go on, because I said earlier that I would provide you with some background, so, bear with me a little longer.
The TRUTH dawned on me about 5 years ago. I fought against it with all I had, trying to disprove it, but then the more I fought the stronger came the proofs from Scriptures.
At this time, I was studying into the Passion Week of Christ, actually comparing what I had read in The Desire of Ages and checking with my Bible to see if it was all true as taught in my Church. I had been convicted for some time that Christ could not have died on a Friday. Why even Daniel said in Dan. 9:27 that ‘of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.’ More and more, things were not adding up. For example, how could Christ have been crucified on Friday if John says in John 12:1:
‘Then Jesus six days before the passover came to Bethany, where Lazarus was which had been dead, whom he raised from the dead.’
It didn’t take that many fingers in my hand to do the math! Why, even Ellen, in the DA (the first page and 3rd paragraph of the chapter dealing with 'The Feast at Simon’s House' admits that Christ must have entered Bethany on a Friday afternoon in order to arrive at His friend’s home before the Sabbath. So, the question becomes WHO do I believe, the apostle John or the SDA Church and it’s traditions (which incidentally, have been borrowed or could it be confiscated from the Roman Catholics)? Then, to add incredulity to absurdity, John says in John 12:12 that the very NEXT day He (Christ) entered Jerusalem! WHAT?! You mean to tell me there is no such thing as a Palm Sunday? Rather a Palm Saturday?!!!
Pastor, it doesn’t stop there! Let me tell you that I also discovered
by STUDYING the Scriptures, the very same Scriptures which you are ‘condemning’ (my
words, not yours) me for denying, these same Scriptures tells me that there
was no possible way for Christ to have been risen on any other day than that
Sabbath evening, before dusk.
(you will have to STUDY harder than you have thus far to discover this). But,
the link I will soon give you will provide you with more than ample proofs.
Take that a step further and REALLY study into the ‘wave sheaf’ offering as given in Lev. 23:11 and carried out by Christ after His resurrection, exactly as He carried them out in person to His one and only Father; left me personally awed and totally disgusted at how long I had been led in deception by this church! Which is exactly why and how a group that follows s false prophet can earn the title of a Sect or a Cult!

Pastor, I used to be a strong Adventist who like yourself (sadly) had an infallible belief in myself as a good Christian. Your beliefs were mine. Maybe even lesser, since I was an Historic SDA who fully believed and advanced the SOP of Ellen White.
I am certain that was what may have attracted you to this site in the past! BUT, as this site claims...The TRUTH is the formation or foundation of a Belief.
I have to state it in this manner because the Bible clearly states that she is NOT, nor HAS her SOP ever been the Spirit of Prophecy of Jesus Christ and who alone has this power and has NOT advocated it to ANYONE who has ever breathed nd remained a mere human!
I do not know you, but I can only feel for you and pity you because of what you are so entirely deceived of. That is why deception by definition means that the person deceived will NOT believe that he IS deceived. That is why I have the little blurb at the end of all my e-mails and which applies to you more than you think! And Pastor, I hope that you are able to understand that I am not picking on you in any shape or form, bit as a very concerned Christian brother, who has been there and done that already!
By the way, the reason YOU and your church have put D.M. Canright, so far down in the hole is because he chose to pastor a Sunday Church when he left Adventism. According to Adventism, Sabbath keeping trumps EVERYTHING else. It doesn't matter what Canright's relationship with Christ may have been, HE DID NOT KEEO THE FOURTH COMMANDMENT and because if that HE IS DAMNED! What you fail to understand is that it is because of Christ’s great mercy and GRACE (which Canright had plenty of through his TRUST in Jesus Christ ALONE, as opposed to trust in a false prophet, who has no inherent power of any kind) that there will no doubt be more Sunday keepers in heaven than Sabbath observers (and by that I am predicting of the Roman Catholic faith). It is the CHARACTER of an individual that provides his key to heaven’s gate, sorry, brother, there is no such thing as a ‘golden pass’, even for angels! (Her angel must have had a good laugh when she wrote that line!)

I chose to not go into any depth of why Ellen and her many books were nothing but copies of other man's works. The E.G. White Estate knows and acknowledges it, why don't you? It is just to their advantage to let this little secret out in the Church.

I suspect that the majority of pastors came into this belief and doctrines innocently enough, I know that my own father did, but the problems begin when you try to inform a pastor that his chosen lifework AND income is a fraud. I can only pray and hope that because this pastor has not responded, he has discovered something that is making him take a second and maybe a third look at his established beliefs. I can assure you that if their is one doctrine that this Church has correct it is the Sabbath Truth, but dwell on this: how much time did Christ spend explaining the Truth about the Sabbath? Sure, He came to this earth among a group of believers, but were they really?! And wasn't His concern directed more towards those that would come after Him, such as the Gentiles
Spend some quiet moments with your Bible and check out one of the points brought out in this abstract. Even the most avid Adventist has been deceive at some time, is it not possible for it to happen again, or are you willing to put that much confidence in yourself and your pastors?
I wish you the best as you try to choose one of those questions. I will not be too surprised if I do NOT hear back from you, as I have been a witness to this before, when I have received comments similar to yours. Most do not dare answer me back, especially when they have no answers to my questions on the Bible vs. EGW. After all, "he’s a lost soul anyway, for denying the SOP!" as you intimated in your own comments to me! I just feel that in your mind, if you were anything like my father can comprehend the depth that Satan, through your Church, has deceived you. Mine didn't before he passed away and my mother refuses to believe it to this day. It is inbred into you! and as a pastor, doubly so!!

My website gradually became what it is today because the SDA Church gradually became what it is today. Deception would not be DECEPTION if you automatically came to a conclusion that you were being deceived. It always happens gradually and it also takes a HUMBLE and CONTRITE heart to detect this shift, a heart that is open to God's influences through His only means of communication: His Holy Spirit, which is only His omnipotence and omnipresence being borne by His Holy Spirit. A crude way of understanding this would be to say that He communicates with us all through mental telepathy. Christ would not have made as many comments about deception if it were not such an insidious propaganda created by Satan to FOOL the foolish, who in this case represents all that believe that they have the ability to avoid deception ... all on their own! Which in this case covers ALL who have accepted the Adventist faith as the only true faith on earth! They are so certain of this that they even close ranks to defend their belief INSTEAD of digging in the Scriptures to verify what they have been taught!
Of course, Exodus 23:2 immediately come to mind:
Thou shalt not follow a multitude to do evil; neither shalt thou speak in a cause to decline after many to wrest judgment:
A real Christian that has discovered Truth and tries to tell others about it will most likely encounter opposition and derision of those that he is trying to reach. I can only say that though I am personally far from it, it does take a humble heart to discover the hidden Truths within God's Word AND realize that he HAS been mistaken all these years (I believe this pastor alluded to this in his remarks). It will usually take a course that is opposite of what others have taken in their own search. Again it takes a spirit of wanting to discover Truth. That is why this site was originally called Adventist 4 Truth. I was an avid Adventist once. But as many have discovered in their own lives, you tend to only get burned ONCE by the same deception!
This site has strived to discover hidden Truths and has been diligent in bringing the Truth Forward. For that I am humbly grateful to God.
I can only urge and encourage others to search for themselves and CONVINCE themselves of what is Truth about your Church. I again, can only say that you will be astonished when you do this. Salvation comes no other way, Friends! Getting into heaven is NOT as simple or easy as you are being told by your Pastors. It does take a personal effort and a desire to emulate Christ at ALL costs! We are saved through and only through His grace, as sinners we have NO merit of our own. You simply cannot earn your way to heaven by going to church, keeping the Sabbath, eating or dressing right. These are rules to live by, imposed on you by those that think they know best...call them Obama rules! None on this planet, called Earth, will discover this until it is too late. Only those that put Christ, FIRST, in all they do will have the Victory! A question that EACH reader needs to seriously ponder for themselves is by what means is TRUTH determined; and in an Adventist's mind: do we dare tp put the SOP as an equal with the Scriptures? Are we willing to shrug at a minor historical error in order to maintain our beliefs?

I especially dare SDAs to read D.M. Canright's books (there are two in the Christian Library). Do not be put off by the Church;s condemnation of him because he became a Sunday minister. How many of your pastors can you point to who studied under Sunday keepers? He has a lot to share about the early SDA movement's history, he was a significant part of it. You will never know the Truth until you dare yourself to step out and discover what hidden facts have been kept from you and you will find many, many on this site as well as these below:
