It's hard to understand why so many mainstream SDA congregations would allow themselves to become infatuated with Mel Gibson's movie, "The Passion," that they would even rent an auditorium to show the film since he is a known Catholic. This fact alone should have barred them from viewing the film which would obviously be permeated with Roman pagan doctrines dressed up as Christianity. However, if one has compromised the importance of giving the 3 Angels Messages and failed to investigate the pros and cons of this movie, one could easily be misled by the raving reviews this film had.

Its a fact that Mel Gibson had mass every morning on the movie set while the film was in the making, that the person who portrayed Mary as well as other actors had the appearance of Catholic nuns and that the whole movie wreaks of a mystical radical Roman Catholic view. Catholics teach that The Mass continues the Sacrifice of the Cross. Each time the Mass is offered, the Sacrifice of Christ is repeated. A new sacrifice is not offered, but by divine power, one and the same sacrifice is repeated. What could be a worse abomination than sacrificing Jesus daily, putting Him back on that cross daily. In the past Millions died, many in the flames, for refusing the Mass and the partaking of the wafer. One SDAChurch in Texas waited outside of the theatre and handed out the Desire of Ages chapter on Gethsemane to show the real Christ, to offset the terrible graphic violence of this film. This film will probably be the glue that binds Catholics and Protestant daughters together more firmly as each intend to use it as an evangelistic tool during 2004.

Early this morning I received a call from an island where a lady informed me that there container of almost ½ million tabloids and books that had been held by a shipping line for almost 2 years, had now been released to
the Port Authority for disposition. The brethern had steadfastly refused to pay for its release while many thousands of dollars had accrued against them during the time of a dispute. The Shipping Line in error had
designated an agent in some other country as their clearing agent and in addition were unable to locate the container for 2 months and then were asking demurrage for the entire period, which the brethern refused to
pay. Please pray that the container can be cleared for the $600 the Port is now asking to cover their handling costs. The brethern have asked them to waive that cost also, to completely exonerate them of a problem not of
their making. They are praising God over the turn of events.

The following email came from a friend two days ago. "I have a man that has come to me from Tanzania miraculously, God has sent him here no doubt about it. He was an SDA for one year and then left theAdventist Church because of apostasy and started his own church. He has established 50 churches throughout Tanzania, with 31 ordained pastors, and elders and deacons. I have sent one of my staff to visit his headquarters and some of his churches, which turned out all legitimate. They are desperately in need of Kiswahili material, do you have any suggestions?" I referred him to my friend who has a website loaded with Kiswahili material including our tabloids and the Great Controversy. My friend had distributed 5 containers
in Tanzania and stated a number of times that the tabloids were the first choice of those requesting material. Thirty began keeping the Sabbath studying BHC in a South African prison. This brother was transferred to a nearby prison requesting more material to start more groups. Two other men in other prisons started
keeping the Sabbath, each have a group of 5 keeping the Sabbath who have been transferred to other prisons also requesting material to start new groups. Don't you love God's method of multiplication?

When we consider about 100 Baptist churches plus other churches that Present Truth Lay Workers are working with that are now keeping the Sabbath in Papua New Guinea and are asking these Workers to present the 3 angels' messages at there July Camp Meeting, we can begin to see how God is moving miraculously to finish the work on earth. Things are beginning to move in Canada based on a report I received from a brother who recently received 200 boxes for distribution. He reports," that he has mailed to 160 cities and looking forward a much larger
distribution." In fact he is requesting a container of 630 boxes (with a range of 750 to 2,500 per box) before laws are enacted to prohibit such work. As you all know the Catholic influence in Canada has been quite
restrictive but since NAFTA agreement the borders have been more open. We have had the same experience in Mexico. Were in that little time peace both in America and abroad where international shipments for the
most part can move freely. With the heightened interest created by the Passion Movie in USA we are looking at including a condensed version of Gethsemane along with our condensed Steps to Christ tabloid that we specifically planned for our next shipment to the South Sea Islands and Philippines. With such an influx of churches we want them to experience a deeper relationship with the Saviour. Our distributor said, "100,000 Steps to Christ is good news as we were discussing this very topic when your email camein."

As you know we are holding to $125,000 for each printing event. The Lord has touched your hearts as we have $65,000 toward that goal. We need to raise another $60,000 to reach our goal. Please help us! Some have already given sacrificially. One sincere lady who had already given substantially expressed it this way: "As long as the Lord provides I will send my funds on to you. We never know when the banks will stop our
funds. As a small child I remember when the banks closed and the people in the small town panicked, standing in the bank wringing their hands wondering where the next meal was coming from. I have cut out all extra spending now and only purchase food and utilities and the rest is for His work. The Lord has provided a roof over my head and food on the table. So what more can I ask!"
