THE CHURCH OF ADAM 4004 B.C.
The church of Adam was
founded, according to the margin in the Bible, in 4004 B.C. It was
founded by God in the Garden of Eden, and it was a pure church.
We find that Adam and his descendants worshipped at the east gate
of the Garden of Eden, The Lord had placed an angel there with a
flaming sword, and they recognized that the glory and presence of
God were in that place, so they came there to worship God.
It is interesting to note
that God placed this angel at the gateway to the Garden of Eden
to keep man out so that he could not eat of the tree of life and
be immortal. This surely proves that the idea that man is immortal
is false. God made it very clear to men as follows, "in the
day that thou eatest thereof, thou shalt surely die." Gen.
2:17. God told man that if he ate of the tree of knowledge of good
and evil he would die, and so death came upon mankind, and the Lord
prevented him from entering the garden and eating of the tree of
life, so that he would not continue to live on and perpetuate sin.
It was not long after the
church of Adam and Eve was founded that corruption began to eat
out its moral fibers. In fact, there was trouble in Adam's own family.
Abel was slain by his brother Cain. Adam and Eve now saw the results
of sin; that the wages of sin is death. They saw the falling leaves,
the thorns, the thistles and the briars; they saw the fading flowers,
and all the evidences of death and sin that surrounded them, and
even saw a murder in their own family.
The church of Adam started
to go down, and down spiritually, until finally it had become so
sinful that God looked upon the earth, and saw that the earth was
corrupt in every way, and God decided that He must start another
religious movement to call out His true saints from the church of
Adam, and start a new church.

THE CHURCH OF NOAH 2348 B.C.
We read in Gen. 6:13, "And
God said unto Noah, the end of all flesh is come before me; for
the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will
destroy them with the earth." In verses 5 and 6, it says, "And
God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that
every imagination of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually.
And it repented the Lord that he had made man on the earth, and
it grieved him at his heart."
God said, I am sorry that
I have made this world, because it has become corrupt. The Bible
says, 'And God looked upon the earth, and behold, it was corrupt,
for all flesh had corrupted his way upon the earth. And God said
unto Noah, the end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth
is filled with violence through them, and, behold, I will destroy
them with the earth." Verses 12 and 13. Again we read: "And
the Lord said, I will destroy man whom I have created from the face
of the earth; both man, and beast, and the creeping thing, and the
fowls of the air; for it repenteth me that I have made them. But
Noah found grace in the eyes of the Lord." Verses 7 and 8.
Noah found grace in the sight of God. He was a true servant of God,
he was obedient to the law of God, in spite of all the corruption
that surrounded him.
The church of Adam had
gone down, and down, and down, and now God was ready to start a
new religious movement under the leadership of Noah who was a righteous
man. So God called Noah and revealed to him that He was going to
destroy the earth with a flood. He said to Noah, "Behold, I,
even I, do bring a flood of waters upon the earth, to destroy all
flesh, wherein is the breath of life, from under heaven; and everything
that is in the earth shall die. But with thee will I establish my
covenant; and thou shalt come into the ark, thou, and thy sons,
and thy wife, and thy sons' wives with thee. And of every living
thing of all flesh, two of every sort shalt thou bring into the
ark, to keep them alive with thee; they shall be male and female.
Of the fowls after their kind, and of cattle after their kind."
Verses 17-20.
God told Noah that He would
establish His covenant with him. The Lord commanded him to preach
a warning message to the world, that the world was to be destroyed
by a flood, and that the people should turn away from the sins of
the church of Adam that had become corrupt and return to obedience
to God.
Noah's preaching had plenty
of opposition. No doubt, the preachers of that day ridiculed his
work, and probably said that he was crazy, and that people who united
with his church were crazy. They no doubt said, as people do today,
that they were members of an old established church, the church
of Adam, and so they refused to come out of the church of Adam.
They probably said, "Surely Adam's church must be the right
church, because it was founded by God in the beginning." They
failed to recognize that God had a message for them for that day,
and that the Lord was giving them a last warning before the destruction
of the earth. We are told that the world in the days of Noah was
a world of giants. It was called the antediluvian world, and it
was filled with great men of great stature, and wisdom, and knowledge.
No doubt they had universities and men of great learning, and they
prided themselves in their physical strength and mental abilities,
but they would not listen to the simple message, the last call that
God gave to them, and they were all destroyed by the flood, except
the few who heeded God's message, and came out of the church of
Adam and went into the ark to be saved. Only Noah and his family
were saved. Just eight of them.
We read in Gen. 9:8, 9,
"God spake unto Noah, and to his sons with him, saying, and
I, behold, I establish my covenant with you, and with your seed
after you." But did the church of Noah remain faithful to God?
No, it is a sad story, for even the followers of Noah turned away
from God, and before long the church of Noah started to go down,
and down, and down. The descendants of Noah wanted to build a great
city, and the Tower of Babel was built by them. But God was displeased
with them, and confounded their tongues, so that they could not
understand each other. This scattered them out over the face of
the earth. It was not God's will for them to congregate in great
cities, and so He scattered them, by changing their language. The
descendants of Noah became more and more sinful, and finally, the
Lord had to seek for another great man to lead His people out of
the church of Noah, and establish a new movement that would be true
to God. The Lord saw that He had a faithful servant in the earth,
and that man was Abraham.

THE CHURCH OF ABRAHAM 1996 B.C.
We read in Gen. 12:1, "Now
the Lord had said unto Abram, Get thee out of thy country, and from
thy kindred, and from thy father's house, unto a land that I will
shew thee: And I will make of thee a great nation, and I will bless
thee, and make thy name great; and thou shalt be a blessing; And
I will bless them that bless thee, and curse them that curseth thee,
and in thee shall all families of the earth be blessed. So Abram
departed, as the Lord had spoken unto him; and Lot went with him;
and Abram was seventy and five years old when be departed out of
Haran."
The Lord called Abraham
to lead the third great religious movement of God in this world.
He told him to get out of the country that he was living in because
of the great wickedness that prevailed there, and God said, "I
am going to take you into another land, into the land of promise."
Abraham did not hesitate, but immediately obeyed God, and came out
of the wicked land where he had lived all his life.
This third religious movement,
led by Abraham, began around B.C. 1996. Abraham had a son by the
name of Isaac, Isaac had two sons called Jacob and Eseu, and Jacob
had twelve sons, and one of them was Joseph, who was sold into slavery
to the Egyptians. You remember how his brothers went down to Egypt
during the famine when Joseph was the prime minister of Egypt. He
finally revealed himself to his brothers who had sold him into slavery,
and he forgave them. Joseph sent for his father to be brought to
Egypt, and the family moved to Egypt. They were all descendants
of Abraham, and so the church of Abraham finally settled in Egypt.
They became known as the Israelites for Jacob's name was changed
to Israel. They multiplied and became a numerous people.
The Egyptians tried to
hold them in slavery as long as they could, and made them work very
hard. While in bondage to the Egyptians they lost sight of God,
and so the church of Abraham turned more and more toward heathenism,
and started going down, and down, and down. Many of them worshiped
idols as the Egyptians did and ate the unclean things that the Egyptians
were eating, so God had to do something again, to lead His faithful
people out of darkness and sin.

THE CHURCH OF MOSES 1491 B.C.
The next man called by
God to lead another great religious movement, was Moses, a young
man whose life had been miraculously saved. At the time that he
was called he was a member of the house of royalty in Egypt. He
had been adopted by the daughter of the king. He was well-educated
and well-trained, but God recognized that Moses loved the Lord,
and would prefer to serve Him than to serve this world, so God called
Moses to lead His people out of Egypt.
We read in Exodus 3:4-10,
"And when the Lord saw that he turned aside to see, God called
unto him out of the midst of the bush and said, Moses, Moses, and
he said, Here am I." Now God spoke to Moses out of the burning
bush, and when Moses turned aside to look into this peculiar phenomenon,
God said to him, "Moses, Moses, and he said Here am I, and
be said, draw not nigh thither, put off thy shoes from off thy feet,
for the place whereon thou standest is holy ground. Moreover he
said, I am the God of thy father, the God of Abraham, the God of
Isaac, and the God of Jacob. And Moses hid his face, for be was
afraid to look upon God. And the Lord said, I have surely seen the
affliction of my people which are in Egypt, and have heard their
cry by reason of their task-masters; for I know their sorrows; and
I am come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians,
and to bring them up out of that land unto a good land and a large,
unto a land flowing with milk and honey; unto the place of the Canaanites,
and the Hittites, and the Amorites, and the Perizzites, and the
Hivites, and the Jebusites. Now therefore, behold, the cry of the
children of Israel is come unto me, and I have also seen the oppression
wherewith the Egyptians oppress them. Come now therefore, and I
will send thee unto Pharaoh, that thou mayest bring forth my people
the children of Israel out of Egypt."
God made it clear to Moses
that He wanted to call His people out of Egypt; to take them out.
The Lord saw that the church that He had founded, under the leadership
of Abraham, had become utterly corrupt. It had lost sight of the
standards of God. Only a few of them were still trying to obey God's
commandments, so God wanted to lead them out of Egypt. Under the
leadership of Moses, the people of God were led out in a great religious
movement; perhaps one of the greatest of all time. In Ex. 19:3-5
we read, "And Moses went up unto God, and the Lord called unto
him out of the mountain, saying, thus shalt thou say to the house
of Jacob, and tell the children of Israel; ye have seen what I did
unto the Egyptians, and how I bare you on eagle's wings, and brought
you unto myself. Now therefore, if ye will obey my voice indeed,
and keep my covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto
me above all people; for all the earth is mine."
God said to them, see how
I have brought you out of Egypt. I am leading you to the promised
land, now if you will obey me, I will make you a nation of priests
and kings, I will make you a peculiar treasure, I will exalt you
above all the nations of the world, and they said, "all that
the Lord has spoken we will do." (Verse 8). But they did not
do the things that God wanted them to do. God declared in their
presence the immutable law, the Ten Commandments. He proclaimed
His law in the midst of fire, thunder and smoke. They said that
they would obey God, but it wasn't long before they were murmuring
against Him. At the very time that God was giving the Ten Commandments
to Moses in Mount Sinai, the people built a graven image, and were
worshipping it. They could not get the heathen idol worship out
of their systems.
The church of Moses continued
to go down, and down, and down. They accepted God's ways less and
less, and traditions and the commandments of men more and more.
The church of Moses soon lost its way completely, and was walking
in a way that was contrary to the will of God.

THE CHURCH OF JESUS AND THE APOSTLES
31 A.D.
The next great religious
movement founded by God, was led by Jesus Christ Himself. The Son
of God came to this world to call those people who still loved Him,
out of the church of Moses. We read in Matt. 4:17, 19 that the Son
of God finally appeared in the world, as it was prophesied of Him,
to preach the truth of God. "From that time Jesus began to
preach, and to say, Repent: for the kingdom of heaven is at hand
. .. and he saith unto them, follow me, and I will make you fishers
of men."
Jesus called the people
out of the church of Moses. He warned them, "repent for the
kingdom of heaven is at hand." He went from place to place,
telling the people, "Take up the cross and follow me."
He called them to come out of the church of Moses. It had become
corrupt. It was filled with traditions, and was no longer obeying
the commandments of God. Many of the people had learned to love
money more than they loved God. Material things and the pleasure
of the world meant more to them than the things of God. Their religion
had become a form of godliness. Their preachers were taking the
people's money, but were not feeding them the truth. The preachers
in the church of Moses opposed the Son of God. In fact, they sought
to destroy His life, and finally did accomplish this awful deed.
What was the attitude of
the majority of the people toward Jesus in this new religious movement?
We read in John 9:28, 29 a statement on this as follows, "Then
they reviled him, and said (to the young man whom Jesus had healed),
Thou art his disciple; but we are Moses' disciples. We know that
God spake unto Moses: as for this fellow, we know not from whence
he is." Notice, that they were saying that they belonged to
the church of Moses. They felt that they were members of an old
established church, and that Jesus was preaching new light, and
they didn't want to accept Him. They said, "As for this fellow,
we know not who he is." Just like the people say today that
the religion of mother and father, and grandma and grandpa is good
enough for us. It is an old established religion. We will not accept
this new light.
Dear friends, those that
did not accept the teachings of Jesus Christ and answer His call
to come out of the church of Moses, were lost. Suppose that Peter,
James, John, and Paul, and the other apostles and followers of Christ
had decided to stay in the church of Moses because their parents
were members of it, and because they had been brought up in it.
If they had decided to stay in the church of Moses and refused to
come out when Jesus called them, they would have been lost. Remember,
that while their fathers and mothers, and grandfathers, and grandmothers
were saved in the church of Moses, when Jesus called them
to come out, they could not be saved in it. Once the Lord
called them to come out, they must heed the call. The leaders and
the people of the church of Moses finally crucified Christ. Because
of this, they were rejected as a church and as a nation. We may
crucify Christ today by our rejection of His truth.
After the resurrection,
Christ's greatest concern was for the carrying on of His work. He
organized the apostolic church, and commissioned His apostles to
go into all the world and to preach to all nations, baptizing them
in the name of the Father and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.
The disciples worked hard to give the message to the then known
world. They founded churches in all parts of the world.
When the disciples were
nearing the end of their days, they foresaw that corruption was
going to enter the apostolic church. It was a matter of great concern
to them. The apostle Paul said, "After my departing shall grievous
wolves enter in among you, not sparing the flock. Also of your own
selves shall men arise, speaking perverse things." Acts 20:29,
30. Paul was so concerned about the corruption of the apostolic
church that he foresaw, that he said to them, "I ceased not
to warn every one, night and day, with tears." The apostle
Paul was shown by God, that a man of sin would arise, who would
sit in a temple, calling himself God. (II Thess. 2:3-5). The apostle
Peter foresaw the rise of the papacy.
Before the apostles had
died, they saw how the different churches that they had founded
at Ephesus, Corinth, Rome, and other places were striving for power.
The bishop of the church of Rome, was the one who came out on top.
The Roman Emperor soon elevated him to the position of supreme head
of the church for all the world. This is exactly what Paul had warned
against, this man who would arise, who would sit on a throne in
a temple, calling himself God.
It was Constantine, the
Emperor of Rome, who made the bishop of the church of Rome the head
of the church for all the world. Constantine was supposed to have
been converted to Christianity, although he had been a pagan sun
worshiper. When he became a Christian he wanted the church to be
popular, and he urged the pagans to join the Christian church. The
leaders of the church were flattered by the attentions of the Emperor
of the great Roman Empire, and they were not too scrupulous about
guarding the standards of God, consequently, the pagans brought
their images, holy water, and holy ashes, and other formalities
into the church. Their festival days were also adopted into the
church at this time. Such doctrines as sprinkling, purgatory, and
confession to a man were all of pagan origin, and were adopted into
the church.
The outstanding practice
of the pagans was sun worship. The religion of the Roman empire
was called Mithraism. Mithra, the sun god, was their god. The day
that they particularly honored their god and worshiped him, was
the first day of the week, or Sunday. Shortly after Constantine
became a Christian, he made a law commanding that they should all
worship on Sunday. This law was made in A.D. 321, and here it is
from the Encyclopedia Britannica Ninth Edition,
where it says,"The earliest recognition of Sunday as a legal
duty is a constitution of Constantine in 321 A.D. enacting that
all courts of justice, inhabitants of town, and workshops were to
be at rest on Sunday; (venerabili die Solis). " The latter
means the venerable day of the sun.
By this time, not only
was God's holy day changed, but the mode of baptism was also changed.
The Bible teaching about the state of the dead, and the punishment
of the wicked, and many other things were changed by the church.
The church now became laden with images, and shrines. Instead of
men confessing their sins to God, they confessed them to the priest,
and of course this was anti-christ. The great anti-christ of Bible
prophecy was now in existence. This was the power that the apostle
Paul warned the people against. This was "The son of perdition."
The church that was founded by Christ and the apostles, was going
down, and down, and down until it was completely and utterly corrupt.
So the Lord had to look for someone else to lead His people.
No. 6.
THE REFORMATION MOVEMENT
1517 A.D.
God was now ready to call
His people out of the church that was founded by the apostles, and
who could He use to do this great work? He saw a priest in the papal
church who was a righteous man, and who was chafing because of the
traditions and sins of the church. This man was none other than
Martin Luther, and God called Martin Luther to lead the sixth religious
movement back to God. Luther was aided by other great reformers
like Huss, Jerome, Calvin, Zwingli, and Knox, and many others. God
found men in different lands to lead His people out of the Roman
church.
The church of Rome persecuted
the people who wanted to follow the Lord. Many of God's saints died
as martyrs during the Dark Ages. In fact, millions were slain in
this terrible time of tribulation. Jesus spoke of this in Matt.
24:21, 22 where He said, "For then shall be great tribulation,
such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no,
nor ever shall be. And except those days should be shortened, there
should no flesh be saved."
Well the days of persecution
were shortened, thank God, by the great reformation movement. The
mighty reformers preached the truth, they opposed the traditions,
the falsehood, and the corrupt practices of the church of Rome.
They called this system the anti-christ, and they knew whereof they
spoke. Unfortunately, Protestantism today no longer gives the message
a certain sound. They no longer seem willing to call the anti-christ
by his right name. Protestantism has lost its character and its
strength today, and is propagating many of the traditions of the
papal church, including the false sabbath. But thank God for a great
man like Martin Luther. It took courage for him to leave the papal
church for all of his family and ancestors had lived and been reared
in that church. What if Martin Luther had said, "My mother
and father, and grandmother and grandfather, and all of my forefathers,
as far back as I can remember were members of the Catholic church,
so please God, don't ask me to come out?" What would have been
the result? Dear friends, there would not have been a reformation
led by Luther. Luther could not have been saved, though his ancestors
might have been, if they were sincere in what they believed and
lived. If Luther said, "I am going to stay in the church of
Rome because my relatives are in it," he would have been rejected
by the Lord. God showed Luther the great truth of righteousness
by faith. If Luther had hid his eyes from that wonderful light that
God revealed to him, it would have been a serious sin.
Many people, no doubt,
refused to come out of the Roman church during the reformation.
They said, "Well it is the old church, it was founded by Christ
and the apostles." We hear that excuse today. Many people say
that the Catholic church is the oldest church in the world. Therefore,
they think that it must be right. My friends, when God calls us
to come out, we must heed His call, no matter how old our church
may be. Those people who refused to come out when the reformers
were preaching, were lost. Unfortunately, the church of the reformation
started going down, and down, and down, as had all the others.
As we all know today, there
is no longer a protest against the traditions and the practices
of the papacy. In fact, Protestantism has adopted many of the false
teachings of the Roman Catholic church and defends them. The Protestant
churches of today have lost much of their spiritual character. One
can do most anything and belong to these churches. The churches
are characterized by their worldliness. Dancing, shows, drinking,
smoking, and all other habits of worldlings are now found in the
churches, so protestantism has gone down, and down, and down, until
now in these last days, before Jesus comes, the Lord has established
His seventh and last religious movement back to God. Seven is a
perfect number in the Bible, and indicates completeness.
No. 7.
THE REMNANT CHURCH 1844 A.D.
In the twelfth chapter
of Revelation, the true church is described, under the symbol of
a pure woman in white. We are told in the sixth verse, "The
woman fled into the wilderness, where she bath a place prepared
of God, that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and
threescore days." We have already discovered in Eze. 4:6 that
God has appointed each day for a year in Bible prophecy. This twelve
hundred and sixty days that the church fled into the wilderness,
is literally a period of twelve hundred and sixty prophetic years.
The true church was to disappear as an organization during the Dark
Ages when the Roman Catholic church ruled supreme. This period was
from 538 A.D. to 1798 A.D. In the prophecies of Revelation 13 and
Daniel 7, it tells us that the anti-christ power would rule for
this period of time, twelve hundred and sixty days. So the true
church was to be in biding, or in the wilderness during the twelve
hundred and sixty years that the anti-christ ruled.
The churches that were
founded under the Protestant reformation in 1517, could not be the
last true movement of God, because the last church of God, or the
remnant church, the woman who was to come out of the wilderness,
was not to appear until after 1798. Since most of the Protestant
churches of today were founded back in the reformation movement
of 1517, they cannot be the last true church. It is true, that they
were movements led of God, and that their leaders, men like John
Wesley, and others, were great men, but if these leaders could see
the condition and the worldliness in their churches today, they
probably would turn over in their graves. The Protestant churches
of today are not God's last true church. However, God has many people
in these churches, who are honest and sincere, and if they want
the light, the Lord will reveal it to them, and they will come out
before Jesus comes.
In Rev. 12:17, God described
His last true church, which is the woman who has been in the wilderness
for twelve hundred and sixty years. He says, "The dragon was
wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her
seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have
the testimony of Jesus Christ."
The last church, or the
remnant church, would be like the original, or the apostolic church,
keeping the same Sabbath, upholding the same ideals and standards
that God gave to His people. The outstanding characteristic of this
remnant church, as you can see, is that it keeps the commandments
of God and has the testimony of Jesus Christ. In Rev. 19:10, it
tells us what the testimony of Jesus is, it says, "The testimony
of Jesus is the spirit of prophecy." And so there are two outstanding
characteristics of God's last church: They keep the commandments
of God, and they have the testimony of Jesus Christ, which is the
spirit of prophecy.
God's remnant church, like
the apostolic church, keeps all of God's commandments; has the same
high standards of living; does not believe in drinking, and smoking,
gambling, or show-going. It is a clean church. There is only one
church that fits the description of the remnant of Rev. 12:17, and
that is the Seventh-day Adventist church, because it is the only
world-wide movement which keeps all of the commandments of God and
has the spirit of prophecy.
In Matthew 24, Jesus told
His disciples what the signs of the end would be. As He was sitting
upon the Mount of Olives, "The disciples came unto him privately
saying, tell us when shall these things be? and what shall be the
sign of thy coming, and of the end of the world?" In the 14th
and 15th verses of this chapter, Jesus said, "And
this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for
a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come. When ye
therefore shall see the abomination of desolation, spoken of by
Daniel the prophet, stand in the holy place, (whoso readeth, let
him understand.)"
Jesus says, in connection
with the signs of the end of the world, that when ye see these things,
which are spoken by Daniel, the prophet, to understand them. They
will have great significance in the last days. Most of the churches
and church leaders say, "We do not know anything about the
Book of Daniel, nor do we know anything about the book of Revelation,
we believe that these books cannot be understood."
But God tells us that His
people will know and understand the prophecies of Daniel and Revelation,
and they will preach His last message to the world. In Revelation
14, it gives us God's last warning for the world. It is the message
that His remnant church, His last true church, will preach to the
world in these last days. It says, "I saw another angel fly
in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach
unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred,
and tongue, and people, saying with a loud voice, fear God, and
give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come; and worship
him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains
of water." Verses 6, 7.
The first phase of God's
last message, is a warning to the world that the hour of God's judgment
is come. Now, there is only one church, the Seventh-day Adventist
church, which preaches that the hour of God's judgment is come.
It is the only church that claims to understand the prophecies of
Daniel 8 and 9, in regard to the judgment. It Is the only church
that preaches the prophecy of the twenty-three hundred years of
Daniel 8:14, which reveals that the judgment began in heaven in
1844.
It was in 1844 that the
remnant church was called out by God to preach this last message,
and to call His people to come out to follow Him. The church appeared
right on time. People of all churches, ministers of all faiths started
to study these prophecies and to understand them, and to preach
the message. The hour of God's judgment is come, is the principal
phase of this message, and worship the Creator of heaven and earth.
How do we worship the Creator? The great memorial of creation is
the Sabbath, so this message calls men to keep God's great Sabbath
day, the memorial of Creation. This message is called the "everlasting
gospel." It is to be preached to all the world, before Jesus
comes.
Then there is a second
message as follows. "And there followed another angel, saying,
Babylon is fallen, is fallen, that great city, because she made
all nations drink of the wine of the wrath of her fornication."
Rev. 14:8. Who is this Babylon? In Rev. 17:5 she is portrayed as
the woman in scarlet. She is called "MYSTERY, BABYLON THE GREAT,
THE MOTHER OF HARLOTS, AND ABOMINATIONS OF THE EARTH." Babylon
represents the harlot church, the papal church. Her harlot daughters
are the churches that have come out of the papal church, that are
still practicing the same false doctrines. The remnant church is
preaching the message of God, that Babylon is fallen, is fallen.
The remnant church is calling men to come out of Babylon; to come
out of the harlot church and her daughters. The harlot daughters
are unclean, just as the mother church is. They are holding to her
unclean doctrines and her unclean practices.
Protestantism still clings
to the same corrupt doctrines as the papacy. The Sunday sabbath,
the secret rapture, sprinkling for baptism, the immortality of the
soul, eternal torment, and other pagan teachings of the papal church
are still being held by the harlot daughters. The scriptures tell
us that the remnant church will preach that Babylon the great is
fallen, is fallen, and will give the message to come out of her.
Then there is a third phase
to this everlasting gospel, as follows, "The third angel followed
them, saying with a loud voice, if any man worship the beast and
his image, and receive his mark in his forehead, or in his hand,
the same shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured
out without mixture into the cup of his indignation; and he shall
be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy
angels, and in the presence of the Lamb." Rev. 14:9, 10.
The Seventh-day Adventist
church is the only church that preaches this message against the
beast and his mark. Some people say that it is not necessary to
preach about the beast and his mark, and yet, dear friends, God
tells us that those who worship the beast and receive his mark,
will suffer the wrath of God (the seven last plagues), and finally
be cast into the lake of fire. God also tells us in Revelation 15:1-3,
that those who get the victory over the beast will stand on the
sea of glass, and sing the song of victory.
Dear friends, do you want
the victory over the beast? Do you want to stand on the sea of glass
and sing that great song? If you do, then come out and take your
stand on the side of God's people, who love Him enough to obey Him
and keep all of His commandments. You must join God's last great
religious movement, and before probation closes.
In the churches of the
world, confusion and false doctrines prevail. The Lord says, "Come
out of her my people." In Rev. 18:1, 2, 4 it says, "And
after these things I saw another angel come down from heaven, having
great power; and the earth was lightened with his glory. And he
cried mightily with a strong voice, saying, Babylon the great is
fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of devils, and the
hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean and hateful
bird . . . And I heard another voice from heaven,
saying, "Come out of her, my people, that
ye be not par-takers of her sins, and that ye receive not of her
plagues."
In addition to the three
angels, who give strength to the message of the everlasting gospel,
here we have another powerful angel, sent by God, from the very
throne of God, to add power and light to the last message, crying
with a loud voice saying, Babylon, the great is fallen, is fallen.
The message from God's throne to you and to me is come out of her
my people, that ye be not partakers of her sins, and that ye receive
not of her plagues! Sin is the transgression of God's law. God is
calling you to come out and to stop disobeying His law.
The Lord says, "Babylon,
the great is fallen, is fallen, and is become the habitation of
devils, and the hold of every foul spirit, and a cage of every unclean
and hateful bird." This means that the world is filled with
all manner of uncleanness; all kinds of false teachings, and deceptions.
Dear friends, it is supremely
important that we heed God's call. Was it important for the people
to come out of the church of Adam in the days of Noah? Was it important
for the people to come out of the church of Noah in the days of
Abraham? Was it important for the people to come out of the church
of Moses in the days of Jesus and the apostles? Was it important
for them to come out of the Roman Catholic church in the days of
the Reformation? Yes, my friends, it was important, and today God
is calling again, come out of her, my people. It is His last call
to the world before the plagues are poured upon the earth. This
message is swelling into a loud cry, and it is going to the ends
of the earth. The Lord is giving power to it. God is thundering
down from His throne, "come out, come out of her my people!"
Are you willing to heed
God's call? Here is what God says in John 10:26, 27, "But ye
believe not, because ye are not of my sheep, as I said unto you,
my sheep hear my voice, and I know them, and they
follow me." And in John 18:37, God says, "Everyone
that is of the truth, heareth my voice." My friends, are you
hearing God's voice calling you out of Babylon? Are you willing
to unite with His remnant who keep all the commandments of God?
Jesus says, Ye are not of my sheep, because you refuse to follow,
and heed my call. "My sheep hear my voice,
and I know them, and they follow me." "Many will be called,"
Jesus says, "but few will be chosen." Not because the
Lord does not want them, but because they refuse to heed His call.
Many people think that
God's last church must be a big church, but God makes it very clear,
that His church is a remnant, which means a small church, and it
will keep all the commandments of God and that it will have the
spirit of prophecy.
Jesus said when he was
here on earth, "Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's
good pleasure to give you the kingdom." Luke 12:32. Jesus did
not say, Fear not big flock, fear not big church, but fear not little
flock, little church, for it is your Father's good pleasure to give
unto you the kingdom.
God is giving you His last
call dear friends. You have been hearing it in these meetings. Will
you heed that call? I beg of you, I plead with you. You must heed
the call. You must come out of Babylon before the plagues are poured
upon the earth. It will not be long until probation will close.
The end is very near. What we do, we must do quickly. May God help
you tonight to recognize the solemnity of this message and say,
"Lord, I am ready to do Thy will, and to come out and follow
Thee all the way."
